The Need
Children’s playroom,
living room with elevated views, master bedroom with ensuite
and dressing room, bed/sitting room/kitchenette for au
pair, visiting relations or friends, home office, design
studio, study, high quality storeroom, television room,
games/hobby room.
The Opportunity
The roof space in many homes
has enormous potential for use as part of the house.
In some cases it can become the largest room in
the house, in others it can become a number of smaller
rooms. Currently the space may be unused but for
the water storage tank and general domestic storage.
Often the potential may only be apparent to an experienced
observer as other changes or enhancements may be
necessary to create or maximise the potential.

The Objective
For some its simply a matter of
satisfying a short term need as efficiently and cost
effectively as possible. For others it is a matter of
redesigning and maximising usage and asset value while
optimising the cost/benefit ratio.
The Process
Our involvement in the process
begins when an enquiry is received from a homeowner.
Relevant details of the property are recorded to enable
us to give a preliminary response on possibilities and
cost. A survey call is arranged to determine the priority
needs and objectives and to get precise details of the
property.
A sketch layout and related quote and
general specification is then prepared. Discussions
and reviews of the conceptual design lead to the preferred
option and ultimately to completion of contract terms.
